He slept for 5 hours!

Yay! That’s a first. The inspiration for this blog was the overwhelming desire to vent my frustration at being a parent, but turns out I am posting a happy happening of my parenthood. Uninterrupted sleep for 5 hours have become a thing to celebrate!

He was cranky all night and his dad had him in his arms for more than an hour. I woke up hearing the cries and finally swaddled him. He fell asleep within about 5 mins. I felt like a pro! Yay! I can put a baby to sleep. It’s July 4 and I was looking forward to some downtime with the whole family but instead there is a vacuum machine humming downstairs. We have guests coming over : ( and they are not the bbq-ing kind. We are making some vegetarian snacks for them.

New Parent Blues

We have a new baby in the house. Life has changed a lot. Whenever I get a minute, I try to imagine how life used to be before the baby and it was pretty good. Don’t get me wrong, I am enjoying my baby but it gets really overwhelming at times. New baby, my parents in the house…It’s just  not the baby I have to get used to.
